Hey Bestie! The latest class in the Baking Bestie Academy has launched and I hope you’re as excited as I am! This hauntingly beautiful cookie class is a fun twist on a Halloween cookie set. It’s spooky, yet pretty with a fun color palette and new cookie decorating skills to learn. I wanted to offer something a little different than what is so typical, with skills that transfer to endless other designs. Read on to learn more about this cookie class!

Baking Bestie Academy classes

In case my classes are new to you, I launched my academy with my flagship Cookie Decorating Foundations course. This course starts at the very beginning and includes making perfect sugar cookies, making reliable and delicious royal icing, colors, consistencies and of course, decorating a full cookie set together. For those who want to learn how to decorate cookies efficiently, without finding a million tutorials and having tried-and-true guidance along the way, this is the course. Cut through all the overwhelming noise and start decorating confidently – that’s the objective.

My Poppies decorating class came next, design for advanced beginner or intermediate decorators who want to grow their skills. In this class, we cover techniques such as the basketweave, as well as florals, ribbons and more. It’s been so fun seeing everyone’s work after taking this class!

And now for fall, we have our Hauntingly Beautiful cookie decorating class. Created for advanced beginners or intermediate cookiers, who already know how to make their cookies and icing and have basic flooding and piping skills. Let’s take a closer look at what this class includes.

The Hauntingly beautiful cookie class

I’m so in love with how this set and class came together. Spooky, vintage, haunting vibes that incorporate many different decorating techniques.

The moody color palette really ties it all together! Decorating techniques we cover in this class include:

  • Outlining & flooding
  • Creating sections
  • Brush work
  • Piping detail work
  • Florals – both directly on the cookie and using a flower nail
  • Leaves
  • Royal icing transfers

We create 5 different colors and 4 different consistencies to master all of these techniques that you can then transfer to endless other designs.

What’s included in this class?

In addition to the online class where we create our colors, consistencies and decorate the full set together, you’ll also receive several additional resources. You’re welcome to use your own cookie and icing recipes if you have ones you love, but my recipes are included as well. Additional included resources include:

  • Cutter shape template sheet if you’d like to hand cut your shapes
  • Royal icing transfer sheet
  • Piping practice sheet
  • Cutter shape design practice sheet
  • Recommended tools list that includes everything you’ll need to create these cookies
  • Cookie cutter link if you’d like to purchase the discounted 5-piece cookie cutter set or STL files to print cutters from home

The Baking Bestie Academy also includes a unique online community just for the students of each class. Here, students can ask questions, share photos and get support. You’re never figuring things out on your own, which is something unique about my classes.

Where can you learn more or enroll?

You’ll find the details and opportunity to enroll HERE! If you’re new to my classes, I hope you love them and feel the supported difference and success. And if you’re a returning student, I hope you love this class as much as the last! As always, I’m happy to help if you ever have any questions about any of my classes or anything else in our cookie world. That’s what I’m here for.

You can also find me and thousands of fellow Besties HERE. It’s the happiest corner of the internet where you’ll find endless help, support, inspiration and celebration of beautiful bakes. And I’d LOVE to see your cookies there too!

And if you’re not already receiving my weekly newsletter, you are missing out! Many Besties say it’s their favorite email of the week! You can subscribe below so you never miss out on a new recipe, technique, tutorial, product recommendation and all the free printables! Happy Baking, Bestie!

Not sure if your baking soda is still good? Add a teaspoon of baking soda to 1/2 cup hot water. If it bubbles, it's still good!
