Hey Bestie! I’m over the moon excited to share with you Featured Bakers 2.0! Highlighting home bakeries you need to know! Supporting and helping amazing home bakers is actually the heartbeat of my website and behind everything I do. And for the first few years, I featured SO many incredible bakers; Celebrating their talent, telling their stories and doing what I can to give them more exposure. But over the years, I wanted to find a way to reach more people in the hopes of helping these home bakeries even more. Which is why I’m thrilled to be introducing my new format for these pieces! Read on to learn where you can see these bakers and what’s to come!
The World needs to know!
The idea for Featured Bakers all started when our son was undergoing treatment for Leukemia. I quickly found myself hurled into a world of living at the hospital and needed something other than cancer to help distract my worried mind. As a lifelong baker and decorator, the kitchen was my happy place. And our daughter, who was 14 at the time, was in her second year of running her cottage bakery business and I knew all too well how hard it is for home bakeries to get exposure. I couldn’t be home with her to help, and my priority was on our son. But helping others and baking were the two things that made my happy, so Your Baking Bestie was born, to do everything I can to celebrate and support fellow home bakers.
Featured Bakers was a centerpiece of my site, and I was honored to connect with and get to know some of the best home bakers in the world. These stores and galleries, which you can find HERE, were a privilege to write and feature. But over time, the way people consumed content changed drastically and I wanted to reach more to give more exposure to these bakers.
Millions of people don’t even know they have an incredibly talented home baker in their community and changing that is my goal! I’m continually amazed by the talent, heart and drive of home bakers who work SO hard to create amazing edible art. Whether they are in your community or not, they deserve to be celebrated!
Featured Bakers 2.0
So here we are! Once again, I’ll be featuring bakers regularly, but in a fresh format! You can now find these video-style on my socials. They will always premiere on my TikTok page first, followed by my Facebook page and Instagram pages later. My hope is that these pieces will honor these amazing bakers, help consumers learn about the talent of home bakeries and honestly, inspire others to spread the love of anyone doing incredible things.
