Hey Besties! I’ve been so excited to share these stunning cookies with you! Made with our incredible peanut butter cookie stamp recipe and my favorite new stained-glass window stamp, it’s never been easier to make designer cookies at home! No chilling needed, so these are super simple and quick to make! For those of you who want to bake something beautiful and delicious without needing to learn a whole new skill, this may be your favorite new method! When I want to WOW and don’t have a ton of extra time, I bust out my cookie stamps. No one ever believes I made them myself and shhhh….they don’t need to know how simple they are! Let’s jump in!
My Love for cookie stamps
I’m one of those bakers who LOVES making beautiful treats but also firmly believes they need to taste even better than they look. It’s not enough to have a pretty cookie, or other treat, if it doesn’t taste incredible. But I’m also a busy wife and mom with about 50 other hats to wear too. Sound familiar? And while I LOVE decorating cookies with royal icing, I also love to bake many other things too! Cookie stamps entered my kitchen years ago and my collection keeps growing. These beautiful pieces of art last forever and I look forward to passing them on to my daughter one day.
Almost all of my cookie stamps come from THIS small family-owned company, out of Wisconsin. They are the sweetest and create the most beautiful cookie stamps! I’m so happy to have a fabulous small business I can count on and support. And I’m in LOVE with my newest stamp, which is THIS stained-glass window stamp! It’s SO pretty! Note that if you don’t see it in their Amazon shop, it may be sold out. But they usually always have stock available in their ETSY shop HERE! They are the most amazing small business and I’m so thankful for their amazing cookie stamps!
How to use a cookie stamp
When I’m using any of their wooden stamps, I roll out my dough, just like if I were making cutout cookies. And then simply dip my stamp in loose flour after every 1-2 cookies, and stamp down into my dough. You don’t need to press very hard to get a beautiful impression. From there, I use a round cookie cutter to cut my dough and then bake on top of my favorite perforated baking mats. These magical mats eliminate any change of cookie spread and leave pretty pattern on the bottom of my cookies. Bake at 350F for 7-8 minutes (for a soft cookie) and they are done!
Here are some photos of the stamped dough, cookies going into the oven and then cooling in all their glory!

Notice how this recipe perfectly captures the most intricate of cookie stamp design details, even after baked! Stunning, soft and chewy when baked as directed, or bake longer if you prefer a crispier cookie!
I rarely ice my stamped cookies since the designs are stunning enough to speak for themselves. However, sometimes I will dry dust with lusted dust or edible glitter if I want some shimmer. And commonly, I dip the bottoms of my stamped cookies in almond bark or melted chocolate. Especially when I use this peanut butter cookie stamp recipe, chocolate bottoms are a match made in heaven!! I’ve made a quick video for you to see how I stamp, what they look like going in the oven, coming out and the easiest way to add dipped bottoms!

The Most Delicious Peanut Butter Cookie Stamp Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup (226 g) Salted Butter Chilled, Cubed
- 3/4 cup (165 g) Light Brown Sugar
- 3/4 cup (150 g) Granulated Sugar
- 1 1/2 cups (360 g) Peanut Butter (I use JIF)
- 2 Large Eggs Chilled
- 1 tsp (5 ml) Vanilla Extract
- 3 cups (400 g) All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 tsp (2 g) Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp (3 g) Salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- I bake on my favorite perforated baking mats to eliminate any chance of spread, for even baking and pretty undersides of our cookies!
- In your mixer bowl (or large bowl with hand-mixer) cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. This usually takes about 2 minutes.
- Beat in peanut butter, vanilla extract and eggs.
- In a separate bowl, combine baking powder, salt and flour. Add to wet ingredient mixing bowl a little at a time.
- Mix until thoroughly blended.
- Chilling the dough is not necessary! Although, you're welcome to chill your dough if you prefer. You'll achieve perfect designs regardless of whether you chill this dough or not.
If using wooden cookie stamp:
- I usually divide the dough into 3 chunks and roll out each onto a floured surface and cut. I make our cookies 1/4" thick and use my Joseph Joseph rolling pin which does the measuring for me – genius!
- I dip my stamp in loose flour and tap off the excess. I re-flour my stamp after every 1-2 cookies.
- Use wooden stamp to gently press down into the dough to create the design.
- Use a round cookie cutter to cut the dough and place on parchment-lined cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 7-8 minutes.
- Cool cookies on cookie sheet until firm enough to transfer to cooling rack.
If using a metal cookie stamp:
- Roll dough into balls slightly larger than golf ball size.
- Roll dough balls in granulated sugar.
- Using cookie stamp, center over ball and push down hard. Dough will squeeze out around stamp. Slowly lift/remove stamp.
- If dough sticks to stamp, use a lip of the dough to carefully peel the cookie dough off the stamp and place on cookie sheet.
- Trim any excess dough around the stamped design, using a circle cookie cutter or pen blade for baking.
- Bake at 350 for 11-12 minutes.
- Cool cookies on cookie sheet until firm enough to transfer to cooling rack.

Hi Barb, yes, you can use embossed rolling pins with my cookie stamp recipes as well. Just make sure your pin is well-floured! Happy Baking!
The photo has chocolate around the bottom, are they just dipped in chocolate? I am assuming. They look wonderful, definitely going to try.
Hi Dawn, see the tutorial video included where it shows exactly how I dip the bottoms of my cookies! Super simple and mess-free!
