It seems most people have a love/hate relationship with Marshmallow Peeps! My mom LOVES Peeps, but I despise them! But I sure love just about anything else marshmallow. ☺ And what’s not to love about the look of Peeps? They are undeniably adorable and recognizable! Today I’m sharing some fun twists I used to decorate Peeps sugar cookies with the standard Peeps shape cutter. Sure, you can replicate the look of Peeps, but there are so many other fun options. And what I also love is that you can decorate them from the front or from the back with a cute tail. If you saw THIS post, you already know that I clearly have some kind of obsession with bunny butts. With countless options, these can be very beginner friendly or as advanced as you’d like!

Since these cookies are a nod to Marshmallow Peeps and I LOVE fun flavors, these cookies are marshmallow flavor! They are so YUMMY! You can achieve this flavor by adding LorAnn Marshmallow Super Strength Flavor to THIS go-to sugar cookie recipe. In this case, I simply substituted 1/2 tsp of the vanilla for the super strength flavoring. Marshmallow has a very subtle taste so it’s hard to overdo it. Subtle, yet just enough to level-up your cookies from the standard vanilla!

Without further ado, here are some Peeps sugar cookies with beginner friendly decorating options! I hope these provide some inspiration to get creative in your kitchen!

Easter Peeps Cookies
Wet on Wet, sprinkles. sanding sugar, front, back…endless options!

I’d love to know…do you LOVE Marshmallow Peeps or would you take a sugar cookie any day? Leave a comment below!

I have never liked Peeps. My grandson however does. I bought the peeps cutter and plan to make sugar cookies for him. He and I both LOVE sugar cookies. What not to love about them, right ??

Not sure if your baking soda is still good? Add a teaspoon of baking soda to 1/2 cup hot water. If it bubbles, it's still good!
