Hey Besties! I’m so excited to share these new graduation cookie cards with you for the upcoming season! In a world where many customers have several choices between cookiers in your community, these can be a fabulous way to set your cookies apart from the rest! Every parent is looking for the best cookies with the best bang for their grad party buck! Sometimes it’s just that little something extra that seals the deal! Or maybe you’re hosting your own grad party this year and can use these with drop cookies, cake pops or other treats too! I’m happy to share these free downloads with fellow home bakers to use as hobby bakers or bakery biz owners! Let’s dig into these!

BESTIE, WHAT IS A COOKIE CARD?

Glad you asked! A cookie card is like a greeting card but with a cookie attached! So instead of spending $5 (or more) on a greeting card at the store, these fun designs come with a cookie attached! Any kind of cookie or even cake pops work perfectly with these cards. And both givers and receivers LOVE them! I mean who doesn’t want to receive a cute card with a custom cookie?! A sweet greeting and a thoughtful gift rolled into one!

And for the bakery biz besties, cookie cards can be a sweet, little gold mine! Most cookiers sell their cookie cards for between $4-$7, depending on the size and type of treat you attach and your market. There are besties that sell hundreds of these for each holiday! It’s yet another great way to set yourself apart from what others are offering. I talk more about how to promote the cookie card business offering in THIS post if that’s something that you’d like to explore.

But today, we’re dialing in on using these for graduation cookie cards! Grad parties are a SUPER busy time for home bakers, the season can often rival the holiday season! And if you’re a bakery biz bestie, you’re looking to offer the best options and lock in those big orders! And what’s the best way to do that? Set YOUR offerings apart from the rest!

Graduation Cookie Cards For The Win

Maybe you have a killer cookie that everyone wants, or your decorating skills are next level! There can be several different reasons customers should choose YOU as the cookier for their event. But let me tell you, as a mom who’s throwing a grad party this year, most parents are looking for something unique, different from the rest and may just make people talk about how great their party was! And they want goods that are photo-worthy for all their socials!

By simply offering graduation cookie cards, it’s a way to do this. They present your cookies in a way that’s unique, different and social media ready! Which leads me to something even more exciting. You have a vested interest in making sure YOUR cookies are perfect and presented in their best light at grad parties. Why? Because grad parties are FULL of other parents who will be hosting future grad parties and other events. They are one of the best marketing tools of the whole year! So I urge you to put it all out there this season, as this is your chance to really level up!

And on that note, make sure every cookie or cookie card has YOUR label on it, preferably with a QR code to your website or socials!

COOKIE CARD FAQS

Answering all your questions that are commonly asked about cookie cards!

  • Where do you print your cookie cards? We print our cookie cards at home! But some choose to have them printed off at stores like Staples or any local printer.
  • What kind of paper do you use for your cookie cards? We print on card stock (110 weight) so the cards are sturdier. THIS is the actual paper we use. There are endless paper options out there to choose from. It’s totally up to you and the look and feel you want!
  • How do you cut your cookie cards? We use a paper cutter like THIS! Super handy, quick and easy!
  • How do you attach your cookies to the cards? We always individually heat seal our cookies (or you can use a self-sealing bag). Then they get attached to the card using double-sided tape or glue dots. This way, you don’t have to fuss with food safe paper and ink. Bestie, make it easier for yourself!
  • What size cookie cards are best? These graduation cookie cards I’m sharing are all 4×6 cards, which we prefer for full-sized cookies. And remember, these aren’t going into an envelope, so if you’re cookie is slightly larger than the card, that’s okay! It’s more about the cookie than the card!
  • Where is the best place to get cookie cards? In addition to the ones available here, I always share cookie cards for a number of different occasions in my weekly newsletter. Feel free to subscribe near the bottom of this post if you don’t already receive it! But there are also a lot of great cookie cards options on Etsy! I’ll share a few of my favorite cookie card shops here as well.
